Carrigcannon

Scope of Work: Restoration & Extension

We were instructed in 2019 to project manage the restoration and extension of this 250 year old stone build farmhouse that became derelict after a major fire destroyed the property some 15 years previous. Working closely with the owner, we organised the clearing and stabilising of what remained of the old structure, rebuilding gables with new openings, installing a ring beam, new floors, new roof and then constructing a large two storey modern extension to the rear.

Reclaimed materials were used where possible, lime render and insulating render was used on the old stonework and as many of the original features were retained where possible. The end result was a modern, well insulated home that maintained the structure and feel of the old farmhouse.
